draco pistols and saiga 12 shotguns

I've been a gun nut since I was a kid.  Every once in a while, some really cool gun hits the market and five minutes later the lefties want to ban it.  I told my gun loving friends B.O.,(before Obama), that if there were two guns that they'd better pick up quick it'd be a Draco AK pistol and a Saiga 12 shotgun.  Sure enough, here we are, A.O.,(after Obama), and either nobody can keep these two guns in stock or the prices have skyrocketed.
I keep hearing about all these guys stepping up to pay a $200 tax stamp to have their Draco re-registered as an S.B.R. so they can put a stock on it.  Dudes, what a waste!  These guns are perfect as they are!  If you want an AK with a stock on it, buy a rifle.  Most AK rifles only have a 16" barrel as it is.  The whole point of a Draco is 7.62 x 39 firepower in a small package.  Being classed a pistol, you can also throw a loaded Draco in your trunk if you have a CCW!  It's a perfect gun when t.s.h.t.f.  I've also read many gripes of "it's hard to aim a draco".  1. It's a hip shooter not a sharpshooter.  2. Mount a sling adapter on the rear and use the "Israeli sling method".  3. Stop whining, you own a Draco!
As for the Saiga 12, I know they're cool and it's the shotgun of the Spetnatz, but I can rack rounds plenty fast enough through any of my Winchester pumps AND reload on the fly.  No need to buy crazy expensive mags that'll end up banned before it's over with.  It's a lot cheaper to buy a good pump and trick it out any way you want than lay down $600 and up in these tough times.  It's even more hard-earned cash lost if you pay some shop to do a conversion on one.  I can't justify having over a grand in a gun that was $200 when it first came out.
For the record, I know a guy who ruined his 7.62 chambered Saiga rifle trying to convert it back to an AK.  His gripe was that regular AK mags wouldn't work.  You should have seen the look on his face when I showed him how simple it was to make a regular AK mag work.  File the mag catch with a hand file until it fits in the Saiga.  Take the mag apart and use a small weld to fill in the little gap at the front end of the mag so the round can ride up into the bore when chambered. Clean up your weld with a dremel and blue it.  Then if you want the pistol grip AK instead of the "California O.K.'d" version, remove the buttstock and replace with a Tapco T-6 stock set.  Easy-peezy and your wallet don't get squeezied!  Work smarter, not harder.
